Ralph Howard
Principal
Under Ralph Howard’s 26 year leadership, Situs has become an integral service provider and strategic partner to government entities, investment banks, lenders and acquirers of commercial real estate. He established the company’s outsourcing servicing support center for the commercial real estate loan services industry and provided strategic global leadership to the infrastructure group encompassing Information Technology, Human Resources, Accounting and Marketing.
Ralph established Situs’ European operations in Dublin, London, Copenhagen and Frankfurt and is now responsible for all European business oversight. He is the strategic lead for Situs’ major client relationships with respect to European expansion and new ventures as well as large-scale and dedicated client operational directives.
Prior to co-founding Situs in 1985, he was the Managing Partner of Lewis and Howard, a real estate appraisal company that under his guidance became a national provider of valuation and consulting services to the real estate community. Ralph is an active member of the MBA, CRE Finance Council and European CRE Finance Council (Advisory Board). He also sat on the board of both Situs / Helios and Situs Nordic Services.
In 2012, Ralph and Martin Bronstein co-founded BHW as an investment vehicle for their own and investors capital. BHW was also intended to provide some additional real estate services such as brokerage, property management, leasing, and consulting services. Initially, BHW acquired two assets, a mix-use property in the River Oaks area of central Houston and a shopping center in The Meadows area near Sugarland in suburban Southwest Houston.
Ralph’s role in BHW was to coordinate all acquisition due diligence and to supervise and coordinate the administrative functions of BHW. The functions included oversight of all accounting, legal, HR, and insurance functions as well as being the co-point person for all banking relationships.
In 2014, BHW shifted its focus into multi-family development with the acquisition of a 26 acres development site in Lake Jackson, Texas. With development of the Plantation Park Apartments in 2016 and the subsequent development of the Park on Wurzbach Apartments in San Antonio in 2018 and the Park at Tour 18 in the Humble area of Houston in 2020, Ralph has assumed some additional roles at BHW. The roles include assisting Martin in the pre-development design, architecture, and engineering aspects of the projects. Ralph also takes the lead in the oversight of the management company that manages each BHW development. He also supervises all investor relations including monthly updates through the BHW investor portal.
Ralph graduated from The University of Texas with a BS in Psychology. He is a former board member of the European CSMA, a member of The Real Estate Round Table, and the Situs Executive Board.
